Wine & Palette

I finally did one of those painting classes where you go with a bunch of people and make something that is really cool. I am going to be honest, I was apprehensive. I literally cannot draw a straight line with a ruler! I was afraid my painting would like like a blob of paint on a canvas (but that is art too right?!?) It was a great night with my grandma and cousins and I am happy to say that I am pretty proud of how my painting turned out...proud enough that it is hanging in my bedroom now. And without further ado...

The top is a little lopsided and it's a little off-center but I am VERY proud of it since it was my first painting. Ever. It really was very fun! If you haven't tried a class then you should. They give you step-by-step instructions as you are painting. I can't wait to do it again!

The List

It's been a while since I've posted to this blog. I cannot believe how fast this last semester is flying (Spring Break next week already?!?) I also can't believe how it has been even busier than my last semester and I am taking one less class. Two months from now I will be walking with many of my classmates into a new chapter. The chapter that says she FINALLY finished her degree! So many people have been so supportive and will be here to celebrate with me. Others have been just as supportive and will be celebrating with me in spirit. I sometimes still can't even believe the time is here. I have worked so hard and put so much of me into going to school and I can't even imagine what I am going to do with myself when I don't have to go to class every night. It obviously hasn't sunk in yet because the other day Eric was saying something about a date this fall and I said I had to see what nights I would have class. He looked at me really funny and then I remembered-I wouldn't have any classes!

There is so much I want to do with my soon to be free time but I am not even sure where to begin. So here, in this blog, I begin the list.

1. Clean out every closet, cabinet and drawer in my house.
2. Join one of our church small groups so I can have more fellowship time with my brothers and sisters in Christ.
3. Cook more of those recipes I have been pinning on Pinterest!
4. Start enjoying nature. (I really think my boxer would have a great time playing at the lake.)
5. Read up on gardening and plan for a vegetable garden next spring.
6. Once a month girls' nights
7. Once a month grandmother/mother/daughter days
8. Learn photography
9. Learn to sew (this one is up in the air as I would need to buy a sewing machine. Ha!)
10. Go skydiving (totally not kidding but totally think I would probably chicken out.)

So, what would you do if you were all the sudden granted extra free time? Leave me a comment - who knows I might likes yours and add it to my list!
